Scooter McCrae graduated with a BFA in Film from SUNY Purchase in 1988 and has been toiling in the world of low-budget filmmaking as a writer, director, cameraperson, editor and even music composer ever since.
He has directed two feature-length projects (SHATTER DEAD and SIXTEEN TONGUES) and writes semi-regularly for FANGORIA magazine as a film critic. SHATTER DEAD won the Best Independent Film Award at the prestigious Fanta-Festival in Rome in 1994; SIXTEEN TONGUES premiered at the Fantasia Festival in Montreal in 2003 and was recently screened at the Sitges Festival late in 2005. Currently he has three screenplays optioned to be filmed in the next two years. < back
