Executive Director of The Mendelssohn Project
Hallie Atkinson joins The Mendelssohn Project after a decade serving as the Executive Director for a private education firm based in New York City. With her formal schooling in psychology and education and her passion for the arts, The Mendelssohn Project offers many exciting opportunities for her talents. Ms. Atkinson is particularly enthusiastic about the blend of scholarly, historic and musical artistry that is the foundation of our work.
Ms. Atkinson brings a rare combination of organizational, business and management skills to TMP. As an education executive, she is experienced in crafting programs that fulfill both the goals and dreams of individuals as well as hitting strategic business benchmarks. She is a diplomatic and persuasive problem-solver whose consummate professionalism engenders trust and a sense of loyalty in clients and colleagues alike.
During her 14 years in New York, Hallie has been a frequent attendee and patron of the city's opera, theater and museums. She is committed to bringing educational opportunities to young people at the threshold of their artistic careers and will begin hosting an Artist in Residency program in 2011 when she and her husband finish their new home on a farm in upstate New York. Ms. Atkinson is excited to be bringing her professional experience and enthusiasm for the arts to The Mendelssohn Project.
