Daniel Segall, born in the UK in 1984, began to improvise at an early age. From the age of seven he studied with Eileen Rowe, giving his first recital in 1996. Educated at St. Paul's School, London, he also attended Pro Corda, then the National School for Young Chamber Musicians.

In 2001 he was awarded a scholarship to attend the Perlman Music Program where he studied with Miyoko Lotto. He was again invited the following year for a joint programme with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He has since worked with Noretta Conci and is currently on a scholarship at Mannes College of Music, New York, studying with Jerome Rose.

He has made appearances with the London Soloists Chamber Orchestra at the Purcell Room and St. Martin-in-the-Fields, the Guildhall Strings and with violinist Arnaud Sussman at the prestigious 'Artists Ascending' series in Memphis, Tennessee. He has also performed regularly at Kettle's Yard, Cambridge (UK) as soloist and chamber musician, notably giving the final concert of their 2003-04 season.

Since 2003 he has attended the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York, where in 2004 he featured in a public masterclass with Alicia de Larrocha and was awarded the jury's discretionary scholarship for his participation in the Dorothy Mackenzie Artist Recognition Awards. In November 2004, he performed also at the Goethe Institute of New York and at Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in Hamburg.
